Outlier Construction considers safety a core value. Our team is committed to implementing a safety program that meets or exceeds state and federal OSHA requirements. Our job site safety programs result in a work environment that is neat – orderly and incident-free. Our safety leadership team works diligently to stay current with the latest industry standards and OSHA regulations. Ongoing training ensures our entire team stays up to date on the latest safety rules and regulations. Additionally, our process includes:
- A full-time safety director, who coordinates our safety program.
- A safety committee, led by employees, that meets regularly to review policies and practices, communicating findings to field personnel.
- We frequently partner with Oregon OSHA to design site and task-specific safety programs
- Our employees and subcontractors are held to the same job site safety standards
- Weekly safety audits are performed by superintendents and monthly safety audits performed by the Outlier safety director.
Company management and leadership have come up through the field and have a first-hand understanding of the value and importance of safety.
Our commitment to maintaining a safe workplace is thoughtful and executed consistently. We consistently rank above our peer set in Safety performance metrics.
We take the personal development of our employees seriously. We have designed a unique ongoing academic curriculum – Outlier University – examples of monthly topics; construction accounting principles, structural engineering, site plan development, CAD/3D design, concrete formulation, insurance requirements and risk management.
These monthly seminars are lead by our local construction partners to ensure our staff:
- Remain up-to-date with current construction practices
- Have a clear line of sight to best in class processes
- Improve communication with subcontractors
- Improves overall knowledge of the entire industry
- Breaks down operational silos
Outlier Construction was founded by two Southern Oregon natives who grew up in the construction industry. They bring significant experience, knowledge, and longstanding community relationships with area subcontractors, suppliers, and the local building officials to any project. Outlier is committed to excellence, education, and safety. Our staff of over 75 employees completes more than 100 projects per year throughout Southern Oregon. To date, the Outlier team has successfully completed over 250 local public and private construction projects. Your project will be our priority.
Over the past few years, KOGAP Enterprises has been fortunate enough to forge a relationship with Outlier Construction. Their experienced team and knowledge of our industry make them one of our top choices for future largescale commercial projects. They have demonstrated excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to the many challenges that contractors face during the construction process. Moving forward, I have complete confidence in their ability to execute some of our larger commercial projects effectively.
Over the past several years, I have had the pleasure to work with both Ryan Beugli and the architects at Kistler Small & White, on design/build projects. In over thirty years in developing and building out real estate, I have never worked with a more reliable, creative, honest, and capable team. Our most recent construction project that Ryan Beugli managed, and architects Ray Kistler and Jerome White and their firm completed was my winery and tasting room for Irvine & Roberts Vineyards located in Ashland, Oregon. I have never had a more complex project that involved extensive grading, mechanical engineering, and design requirements that only the most talented contractors and architects could complete.
Not only was the project completed under budget, but it was also completed before the anticipated completion date. The efficiency and organization that I witnessed were simply unlike any other project that I have developed. Together Outlier Construction Co. and KSW Architect make an incredible design/build team that has my business for life. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend any organization to consider retaining Outlier Construction and KSW Architects for construction projects.
Lithia Motors Inc. was able to utilize Outlier on a ground-up project in Klamath Falls, Oregon, a market that can be challenging to find qualified partners. Outlier was up for the challenge, even with recently being formed, they were able to deliver a successful project. Their ability to both hire the right staff and locate and partner with sub-contractors will be a key to their success. When the opportunity arises again Outlier will be on our shortlist and have the confidence that they will be successful.
We like Outliers’ work; they are our first choice in contractors… I highly recommend them.
The Outlier team was very client-centered. They were resourceful and solution-oriented. The construction process they employed during the project utilized not only update to date construction software, Raken, and Sage, but they are committed to detailed planning and face to face communication. They utilized a well-thought preconstruction plan and weekly owner meetings as we moved from bare land to final punch list, assuring my team was kept informed throughout the process. The entire Outlier team was professional throughout the process; we are 100% pleased with the final product. Additionally, and important, they were on time and under budget!
